History

The creation of Bodega Ibañesas de Exportación began in the 80s, the result of the dream of Francisco García, founder and current CEO of the winery, to create a business that could use the resources and breathe life into the land of La Manchuela.

At that time, Francisco García began to delve into the world of wines, learning to produce and understand the market, first domestically, then internationally, producing and purchasing small batches of grapes in La Manchuela in those first years, to then sell in then traditional markets, Catalonia, Navarra and the Basque Country.

In 1996 he founded Bodegas Ibañesas de Exportación, distinguishing its strong external character and focusing on quality production by investing in the best techniques and technologies in the processing and cultivation of the vine, as well as in the development of a strong business line of organic wines.

During the following years, Bodegas Ibañesas entered the main international export markets; first Europe, mainly with France, Germany and Italy, then moving on to Eastern Europe, Ukraine, Russia, Romania. During the next few years, it began development in the Asian Market: China, Japan, Korea and Taiwan, among others, and later being introduced to America: in Mexico, the United States and Canada.

Thus, Bodegas Ibañesas has reached sales levels of more than 160 million litres of wine sold, becoming one of the leading companies in the sector of Spanish bulk wine.
